Expressions of Interest open for two new Technical Advisory Board committees

 

ACS is inviting expressions of interest for two newly established committees under the Technical Advisory Board (TAB): the IT Governance Committee and the Quantum Computing Committee.

The TAB brings together leading experts from across the tech sector to provide strategic guidance and insights on emerging trends, advancements, and challenges within the ICT sector. Through collaborative efforts these boards formulate recommendations and best practices that help inform policy decisions, drive innovation, and promote excellence across the industry.

1. IT Governance Committee

The IT Governance Committee will play a vital role in identification, adoption and or development of Reference, Architecture, Governance and Risk and other relevant Frameworks, as well as providing thought leadership, commentary and advice to the ACS on subjects including:

  • IT Governance Best Practice,

  • Definition of specific IT Governance processes,

  • Definition of implementation of IT governance processes.

  • Relationship with other governance areas, such as business governance, law compliance, cyber security governance and project governance.

 

For the IT Governance Committee, we are particularly interested in hearing from members who:

  • are currently engaged in IT Governance

  • have current or past expertise in the area of IT Governance particularly in business, law, cyber security or project governance.

This is an exciting opportunity to support and elevate the standing of ICT professionals across Australia.

 

2. Quantum Computing committee

The IT Governance Committee will play a vital role in Identification, adoption and or development of Quantum computing resources and frameworks, as well as provide thought leadership, commentary and advice to the ACS on subjects including:

  • QC deployment

  • QC challenges to existing infrastructure and processes

  • QC interaction with other systems

 

For the Quantum Computing Committee, we are particularly interested in hearing from members who:

  • might be currently engaged in Quantum activities or research

  • have expertise in Quantum technology, especially in Quantum computing, devices or communication

 

Expressions of interest for the newly formed Technical Advisory Board (TAB) Committees are warmly welcomed.
