An abundance of knowledge gathers in the ACS Melbourne Innovation Hub

28 April 2021

Highlights

  • ACS Victoria celebrates our Fellows, Honorary Life Members and longest serving members
  • Industry presentation from Geoff Purcell, CTO, Melbourne Water

Last Thursday 22 April 2021, ACS Victoria was thrilled to host the annual recognition lunch for our Fellows, Honorary Life members and 50+ years members.

The lunch is an important occasion to recognise and acknowledge the work of those who strive to better our industry and for us to celebrate the leaders, pioneers and revolutionaries who have propelled the ICT industry forward.

All of those who were in attendance have contributed to the ACS or broader ICT community in Australia, either through demonstrating a distiguished and recognisable effort, or as a long-standing member and ICT professional.

The lunch was preceded by a presentation from Melbourne Water CTO, Geoff Purcell who spoke on digitising a utility, followed by plenty of networking over lunch.

We were also honoured to acknowledge some of Victoria’s longest serving members and present them with a token of our appreciation. Congratulations to Alan Brown and Raphael Düa who have been ACS members for over 50 years. Thanks to their loyalty and dedication, ACS can continue to advocate and promote the development of Australian ICT resources.
