Preparations are being made to draft a replacement constitution for the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

ACS Congress has formed a Constitutional Reform Working Group (CRWG) and tasked it with engaging with ACS members by conducting three rounds of consultation, then bringing forward a draft constitution.

The first round of the Consultation process is under way. Its focus is on the Principles to guide the development of a new ACS Constitution.

An article was published in Information Age on 30 September 2021, giving some information about this process:

We welcome input from all members, current and former, as well as any other stakeholders who have a view on how ACS can best serve its members in the year to come.

We recommend you first go to the CRWG landing-page, and check out the Summary, Question List and Consultation Document:

A range of online consultation forums have been recently held.

You can still have your say on the structure you see as best fit for purpose in our open online forum here: https://groups.io/g/CRWG-1.
