The Australian Computer Society is excited to announce that we have successfully won the Department of Small Business Employment and Training (DESBT) tender for the Industry Skills Advisory role until 2023.

Luisa Grant will continue in the Industry Skills Advisor Role to engage with ACS members, employers, small business and industry stakeholders and provide high quality, evidence-based industry advice and intelligence to the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training about current and emerging industry direction, regional skills needs and training solutions, jobs growth and employment opportunities encompassing, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Business, Small and Micro Business, Finance, Security, and Property Services.

This vital advice helps shape the skill priorities, program design, funding of qualifications, the Queensland VET Quality Framework implementation, the national vocational education and training (VET) reform agendas, and the review and development of training package products.

Luisa is looking forward to working with ACS members to ensure that the ICT workforce development priorities are represented effectively and at the forefront of the Queensland Government.
