Expression of interest for the ACS QLD Mentoring Program

Highlights

  • The newly established Emerging Professionals Committee is seeking your direct feedback on whether you would see benefit and value in a local ACS Queensland mentorship scheme being offered. Specifically, we would like to gauge whether you would be interested to volunteer as a mentor to support and encourage our emerging professionals.

The ACS Emerging Professionals Committee is in the process of designing a mentorship program for ACS members. The program is an initiative to provide mentorship from experienced professionals who are keen to share their experiences, coach the upcoming wave of ICT professionals and provide guidance to their mentees. The mentees are enthusiastic, motivated and keen ICT professionals who would like guidance in their careers and can be at any stage of their professional journey.

The program is geared towards individuals who want to engage with the ICT community in QLD, so that they can gain that extra bit from their ACS membership. The members will gain experience from the program along with access to the wide network and the wide array of resources provided by ACS.

The program will be launched in the second half of 2022 and is expected to continue for years to come.

We are inviting individuals who are interested in contributing to the design of the mentorship program. At this stage, we are looking to find what mentors are looking for in mentees and what mentees are looking to gain from this program. All you have to do is fill out the form attached.
What do you get?

1.      Influence in designing an ACS program that will affect future rollouts.

2.      Have priority placing for our mentor/mentee to access the program when it is launched.
