ACS NSW is looking to develop an Emerging Professionals Committee representing ICT Students, new Graduates and professionals with under 5 years of experience.
The Committee will comprise up to 10 individuals and will include a Chair and other roles of responsibility. It will report directly to the NSW Branch and Executive Committee.
The purpose of the NSW Emerging Professionals Committee will be to:
Increase engagement by ACS with Emerging Professionals including at universities
Provide feedback to ACS on the needs of these groups
Assist with developing content and event strategies targeting this group
Create opportunities for future collaborations with industry, universities and other education providers
We would be looking to bring the Committee together regularly (either in person or online) and would aim for the group to run 2 events per year and 1 program (e.g. Student Engagement, Student Ambassador). The expected time commitment would be a couple of hours a month.
You will need to be a financial member of ACS and bring enthusiasm, commitment, and lots of ideas on how to improve ACS and its delivery for young and early career professionals.
What is in it for you?
An opportunity to shape the future of ACS
Develop your leadership capabilities
Demonstrate working as a team and delivering to KPIs
Build a professional network
Profile yourself within the industry
Stand out from the crowd
