The ACS School 2 Tech Transition Project provides high school students with an invaluable first step into a technology career while supplying employers with motivated, qualified entry-level talent.

  • Available to high school students in Year 10 and 11 and businesses based in Queensland
  • Students study ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology
  • Businesses offer a paid experience for a minimum of one day a week for up to 24 months
  • Students develop skills and a pathway into a tech career
  • Businesses fill hard to recruit for entry-level tech roles.

Managed by ACS and funded by the Queensland Government as part of Good people. Good jobs.’ Queensland Workforce Strategy 2022 – 2032, the ACS School 2 Tech Transition Program Project offers benefits to both employers and students. Employers connect with motivated and qualified entry-level tech talent. And at the same time, students discover a pathway to a tech career that develops technical and interpersonal skills while providing paid work experience is an invaluable first step.
