The 2023 ACS Queensland Tech Summit was launched on Friday 26 May by Minister for Digital Services, Mark Bailey MP, who informed the 200 attendees about the state government’s programs to grow the digital workforce while boosting diversity and giving more technology opportunities to regional and indigenous Queenslanders.
“Digital technologies have the power to transform the lives of all Queenslander,” Minister Bailey said.
Returning for its second year, the 2023 event features over thirty speakers over the full day representing some of the state’s most exciting growth sectors, including space technologies, gaming, and cybersecurity.
ACS Queensland Branch Chair, Beau Tydd, said: “the day bought together Queensland’s best tech minds and entrepreneurs to explore the digital opportunities for the state.
“This year’s event built on last year's successes, and we’d like to thank the Springfield City Group for being the day’s platinum sponsor as well as acknowledge all the ACS volunteers and staff who were instrumental in bringing the Summit to fruition.
“We’re looking forward to next year’s Summit where we’ll be further exploring the technology possibilities for the state as we prepare for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.”
