As part of the Australian Government’s commitment to support women who are working in paid employment to study an industry-relevant, higher education degree in a STEM field, Griffith University has secured 50 places in a newly developed Diploma of Computing and Data Analytics. Employees selected within this program will study online, and part-time.
This degree gives you the opportunity to establish and progress a career in critical future roles in computing, data analytics, and cyber security, and addresses skill shortages in these areas. The program has a practical, problem-solving approach in its delivery where students are taken through a journey of requirement analysis, system design, implementation and evaluation, focusing on practical problems. Regular guest speakers from a range of industries providing broad exposure to IT opportunities are incorporated in this flexibly delivered program. As a female-only cohort of students, the program is designed to ease some of the barriers women face entering the technology sector.
Upon successful completion, you may be eligible to apply for a bachelor level degree specialising Computer Science or Information Technology and may also receive credit towards your degree.
