Supanova has been Australia’s premier pop culture and gaming convention since its inception in 2002 and is the go-to destination for all fans of comics, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, nostalgia and literature. The event showcases aspiring talent, artists and creators offering them a unique opportunity to connect with a like-minded community of enthusiasts. Additionally, Supanova is renowned for its cosplay culture, where imagination thrives, allowing fans of all ages to embrace their inner ‘geek’ and express themselves through creativity.

In collaboration with Supanova, we are hosting a Friday tech career showcase which will spread across four stages and feature sessions on different career tech pathways, panel discussions with tips on landing a job or presenting a portfolio, as well as demonstrations on different coding languages, graphics software and more.

Our three key objectives of the collaboration is to:

  • Engage and connect university, TAFE, college students and job hunters with industry in the Level Up, Powered by ACS floor zone with interactive booths (discounted tickets available for student and graduate ACS members)

  • Showcase to the general public attendees the opportunities that align with their interests to inspire them to explore a career-change into technology (last year saw 25,000 attendees at the Brisbane event)
