This annual award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Queensland information, communication and digital technology sector. This individual will have taken a risk, made a difference, and inspired others through their work.

Nominees could be working in any industry sector, using cutting-edge technologies, and making a significant impact on sectors like health, agriculture, mining, emergency services, higher education, and more.

Winning the award can open doors to new markets, expand networks, and highlight the significant contributions made to the Queensland ICT industry.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  1. Risk - someone who has gone out on a limb to bring a significant new business and/or technology to the market. Usually this is a founder with vision, passion and determination who has driven a venture through to fruition.
  2. Difference - someone who has achieved significant commercial success with positive impact on the ICT industry. Often these achievements are recognised on the world stage in their chosen industry/sector.
  3. Inspiration - someone who is a role model for young people and is a leader in the Australian ICT industry. Typically, they will have many other interests, such as mentoring, a high profile in the community, and be a vocal advocate for change

The 2024 Queensland ICT Entrepreneur Award recipient will be announced at the National Pearcey Foundation Awards gala dinner, at Victoria Park on 19th November.
