Submit your EOI by completing the linked form here in full and send a copy of your resume to ACSStudent@acs.org.au to be considered to be part of the 12-15 person QLD Emerging Professionals Committee.
All applicants need to be a current ACS Member, be living in Queensland, be either a student, graduate or an emerging professional (within first 5 years of tech career) and have the understanding that they need to attend at least 80% of the monthly meetings for the year (held online).
Selection Criteria
In leveraging the knowledge capital of our members, ACS performs an essential role in influencing the state agenda, driving professionalism in ICT and providing leadership in professional standards. As such, the criteria for successful candidature as an ACS Representative is set consciously high.
- Passion: Is interested and actively learning the tech professional practice and engaging with other emerging professionals.
- Accountable: Can deliver committee objectives & measures and can provide written reports detailing key outcomes.
- Commitment: Can dedicate the time for meetings, has a passion for the ICT industry, is aligned with ACS’ Vision and Strategy, is prepared to join the ACS if not already a member, and has no conflicts of interest.
- Leadership Capabilities: Interested in building leadership skills, resilience, flexibility, and becoming a strong communicator, both written and verbal.
Additional Information:
- Positions are voluntary and are therefore unpaid.
- The EPC will consist of 12-15 members.
- Candidates will be reviewed and selected by the ACS Queensland Branch Executive Committee (BEC) and branch staff.
- Positions within the committee will be voted upon once the 12-15 members have been selected based off the votes of the ACS QLD Branch Executive Committee.
- EOI applications close on Friday 21st November at 5pm AEST.
