Dear valued industry partner,
On the 25th of February 2025, we are hosting the School of ICT's first ever Industry Expo as a part of our Trimester O-week activities.
This event will provide new and returning students an opportunity to have 1-on-1 conversations with industry - for new students, a chance to develop a interest to specific IT field or a career goal and for returning students, an opportunity to develop professional networking skills and scout for industry placements, internships, and job opportunities. For industry partners, this is an opportunity to advertise your business, scout talent, promote placements or internship, and promote upcoming job opportunities, as well as networking with future ICT professionals and academic staff.

The event will be catered, and parking will be reserved for all industry participants
As a valued Industry partner, we would like to invite you to participate in this expo. Each industry registration will include a table that industry partners can set up as an information stall for student to engage with. We recommend 1-2 representatives per information stall. If required, we can accommodate additional participants or attendees. To help cover the event costs, we are asking for a small contribution of $100 per information stall.
In addition to the information stall, we would like to invite you and your business to submit proposals to present one of two industry plenary talks as part of the programme for the expo. Each presentation will be scheduled for 15 minutes, with possible topics of presentation including:
- Recent IT industry trends
- Most important attributes for IT graduates
- How to succeed in IT industry as a graduate
- Stories from IT industry
- Other relevant topics (suggested by the industry partner)
If you would like to register for the event, please reply to this invitation with the following details:
- Company Name
- Participant Names (if known)
- Dietary requirements for participant
- Campus (GC or NA)
- Parking space required
- (optional) Proposed Plenary talk topic
Once your submission is approved, an invoice will be sent out to your company. Confirmation of information stall and/or presentation program will be sent upon receipt of payment.
