Celebrating workforce impact

We are thrilled to spotlight Eleanor Crosby, our Industry Workforce Advisor (IWA) for the Queensland Government, whose exceptional performance is directly supporting Queensland's digital economy.

As part of the Queensland Government's initiative to address workforce challenges, Eleanor serves as one of 11 IWAs across various industries. In alignment with ACS's mission to build capacity in Australia's technology workforce, Eleanor’s focus includes consulting with small businesses in the IT sector,  part of the role entails engaging businesses in the Workforce Evolve program, which offers tailored support to help employers develop inclusive work practices, address workforce challenges, and implement strategies for employee retention. As ACS works to foster a thriving, diverse, and skilled digital workforce in Australia, this work makes a direct and meaningful impact.

Based on newly reported data from the Government, Eleanor’s performance, relative to her peers in other industries, has been nothing short of remarkable. Out of 296 total business referrals to the Workforce Evolve program, Eleanor single-handedly contributed 267 referrals – a staggering 86% of the total. Even more impressively, 35 of these referrals have successfully entered the program, meaning that they will receive online training, 1-to-1 coaching, practical tools and resources, and access to diversity and inclusion partners.

Eleanor's outstanding performance not only showcases her skills in relationship-based consulting, but also significantly contributes to ACS's broader mission of supporting businesses in their digital transformation journey. Her work is instrumental in bridging the gap between industry needs and workforce capabilities, ultimately strengthening Australia's position in the global digital economy.

Congratulations to Eleanor on this remarkable achievement and her invaluable contribution to ACS's efforts in advancing Australia's digital future!
