A dynamic duo ... with a twist!

We are proud to announce a very special new addition to the Careers team. The ACS Digital Pulse talks about the opportunity for workplaces to address skills shortages and improve workforce diversity by attracting and retaining top talent through flexible work arrangements, We are doing just that!

Melanie Vearing joined us on Monday, 17th of February as co-Industry Workforce Advisor to the Queensland Government, working in a job-share arrangement with our Eleanor Crosby. Together the combo of "El and Mel" (say that 10 times fast!) will support ACS's objectives in uplifting the tech workforce through small business consultation.

Mel brings over 20 years of diverse experience across business development, education, and communication sectors. Her background includes go-to-market roles at Grok Academy, primary school teaching positions with an emphasis on the arts and industry experience in marketing and communications. Mel is also an avid swimmer and a board member at North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club where she also manages a lifesaving program for children with disabilities.

This arrangement allows Eleanor to focus on the completion her MBA and to pursue other professional interests while still maintaining her valuable contribution to ACS and to the Queensland Government, which has acknowledged her as the top performing industry workforce advisor amongst her peers across 11 other sectors.

Please join us in celebrating ACS's dedication to supporting work-life balance and fostering an inclusive workplace. We're confident this dynamic duo will continue to drive success in our Industry Workforce Advisory services.
