ACS Queensland and IIBA collaborate on a successful event – Data driven decisions for business
Highlights
- Together with IIBA the ACS Queensland Branch hosted our first sold out event for the season, with close to 100 of our member community in attendance hearing the latest on data driven decision making for business.

ACS Queensland commenced the 2025 event season with a successful collaboration alongside IIBA Brisbane, delivering an insightful panel event at NTT DATA’s rooftop venue in Brisbane. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to fostering valuable industry connections and facilitating discussions that support the tech community’s ongoing development.
The panel was moderated by IIBA’s Brisbane Branch Chair, Nurein Samsuri (Rio Tinto), and featured Kate Norris (Blue Box Data Storytelling), Tonia de Bruin (yourtown), and Paul Lyle (NTT DATA), who shared their expertise on applying business analysis to drive enterprise success through data-informed decision-making.
Discussions covered integrating analytics into strategy development, translating data into actionable insights, and fostering collaboration across teams to ensure insights shape strategic outcomes. Ethical considerations, such as bias and transparency, were highlighted as critical elements in shaping responsible, future-focused business strategies.
The event highlighted ACS Queensland’s strategic event content curation, and delivery of high-quality experiences, and we are grateful for the feedback from members and attendees appreciating the polished and impactful event. We extend our appreciation to our generous venue sponsor, NTT DATA, for providing an exceptional space for the Brisbane tech & business analysis communities to come together.
This collaboration with IIBA Brisbane reinforces our position as a trusted industry leader, creating opportunities for meaningful knowledge exchange and contributing to the professional growth of Queensland’s tech sector.
