Celebrating our volunteers this National Volunteer Week
This National Volunteer Week, ACS NSW celebrates the volunteers empowering students and emerging professionals through mentorship, events, and community leadership.

ACS NSW Branch Executive Committee (BEC) is proud to celebrate the dedication and commitment of our volunteer ACS NSW Emerging Professional Committee (EPC) members and Student Ambassadors. Please see your representatives on ACS NSW Branch page.
NSW EPC members commit on average 1-hr per week, to support student and emerging professional community goals;
- To be a strong voice and drive what matters for students and emerging professionals
- Deliver dedicated events, offering interactive advice and insights from expert speakers and professional mentors
- Focus on people skill development to support growing members professional profile and network
With ACS student membership growth, ACS NSW introduced Student Ambassador volunteer role this year – to support delivery of education engagement plan and to connect and support NSW EPC goals. So far this year, Student Ambassadors have supported ACS NSW Emerging Professional events and O’Days at Macquarie University; University of Technology Sydney; The University of Newcastle; Western Sydney University; as well championing ACS to their student community.
"Volunteers play an important part of any membership or professional association. They provide insights from industry, ideas and feedback on what we are doing, and in some cases, hands-on support for events, activities, and programs. Their dedication strengthens our community, drives our mission forward, and ensures that our work remains relevant, responsive, and impactful." Elana Huthnance - NSW State Manager
