ACS were pleased to launch the fourth annual Queensland Tech Summit in Fortitude Valley on Friday 30 May.

The all-day event saw the state’s leaders from business, government and education come together to harness the power of innovative solutions and redefine digital horizons, with close to 300 tech leaders, professionals and emerging professionals in attendance at Cloudland.

Launching the Summit was The Hon Steven Minnikin MP, Minister for Customer Services and Open Data and Minister for Small and Family Business who spoke to opportunities for the State’s tech profession to support the Government’s CX evolution; followed by the inspiring David Downs, CEO of New Zealand Story who candidly shared how he successfully navigated his cancer diagnosis, treatment and remission. Later sessions ranged across cybersecurity and digital leadership with the emerging tech sessions taking a deep dive into future forging technologies. We’d like to sincerely thank all of our expert presenters and sponsors QUT (Gold Sponsor); Kx2 Management; Pack of 7; BAPL (Session Sponsors), together with DELFOZ and ACS Labs for their valued support, allowing us to offer the Summit for our ACS Members at a fraction of the price for other comparable industry events.

A huge vote of thanks also goes out to the ACS Queensland Branch team, wider ACS team, our ACS Queensland Branch Executive Committee and Emerging Professionals Committee who contributed to the success of the day.
