On Thursday 26 June, more than 30 tech leaders came together from across the region for some great presentations and a lively discussion about how ACS and the Downs and South-West Chapter could work together to help solve the tech issues of today and tomorrow as part of the annual Tech Leaders’ Lunch.

Michele Berkhout, Co-chair of the chapter, hosted the event and led the discussion at the Burke and Wills Hotel.  This year saw quite a few new faces in the crowd, which is leading to several discussions for possible new PPPs and new general members.  The event provided some good ideas and suggestions for future events, as well as possible discussion topics for events or panel discussions.  ACS was represented by BEC member, Peter Yeates, staff members Holly Bretherton (Queensland Branch Manager) and Ken Gideon (Stakeholder Relations Manager – Queensland), and Downs and Southwest Chapter Members Michele Berkhout, Dan Stewart and Rachel Hennesey.  We also wanted to thank ACS staff members Caitlin Hultgren and Angela Chen for their support in organisting this event.
