NSW October 2025 Recap: Recognising Cyber Month and our digital future
October was nothing short of inspiring. We marked Cyber Awareness Month with a packed calendar. From hands-on courses to member and research spotlights- all celebrating those keeping our digital world safe. The highlight? Our ACS NSW Digital Pulse launch, where The Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong MP challenged us to back Sydney as a top-10 global tech city by embracing risk and innovation. And we’ve just launched our ACS NSW LinkedIn page- join us there to keep the momentum going!
Highlights
- We hosted the ACS NSW Digital Pulse launch with The Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong MP, who challenged us to champion Sydney as a global top-10 tech city through bold innovation. ACS CEO Josh Griggs and Deloitte’s Bec McConnochie reinforced the collective effort needed to close the digital skills gap.
- Our NSW EPC hosted the 'Career Toolkit: Australian Tech Roles & Skills' event, helping students, graduates and early career professionals explore the tech industry.
- The spotlight was on our NSW members to share their career journeys and academic research in the world of cyber. Read their stories: Lauren Veenstra, Noah Pincini, A/Prof Uday Tupakula, A/Prof Bo Liu, Dr Masoud Afshari, and Doran Dorotheou.
