We were proud to host industry leaders, professionals and government representatives last night for the Queensland launch of ACS Digital Pulse 2025. It was an inspiring evening focused on strategies to bridge the growing digital skills gap and the importance of alternative pathways to attract more Queenslanders into tech careers. One key takeaway came from Steve Minnikin MP, who shared his vision for the future: “I want to have the Olympics in 2032 to be the most accessible, and the most digitally inclusive. Right now, I challenge all of you, whatever you're doing in the ICT sector, get other people passionate and involved. We need you, like never, ever before in history, and I'll end on this comment: everything in this report is absolute essential reading.” A huge thank you to our speakers, Steve Minnikin MP, Preston Tsamassiros, Senior Economist at Deloitte, and Genevieve Reid, ACS Chief Growth Officer, for expertly connecting the report’s findings to Queensland’s digital future. A special thanks to Ken Gideon for his outstanding work as emcee, and to Caitlin Hultgren and Angela Chen for their incredible support in making the event a success. The conversation doesn’t end here. Let’s keep working together to close the digital skills gap and inspire the next generation of Queensland's tech talent.
