On Tuesday 6 September, ACS Melbourne Innovation Hub became a DIF Hub.   Pearcey Foundation held a skills roundtable and was joined by ACS CEO, Chris Vein, and other panellists, to discuss this important topic.  We also held an ACS Tech data event in the evening with entrepreneur, Shoaib Iqbal, the founder and CEO of Esper Satellite Imagery, a company that is building imaging systems for earth observation from space. Shoaib started with a quick overview of his journey from the humble beginning to a well-established Esper Satellite Imagery organisation. His presentation covered the technicalities of satellite imagery, such as hyperspectral imagery and how it is used for earth observation for the climate.

The focus of Esper technology – all the imagery data collection and analysis is about atmospheric greenhouse gases, soil carbon concentrations, and metal mineral deposits, in turn building a pulse monitor for the earth and filling in the whitespace of intelligent data.
