Joining your state EPC Committee is a great way to get involved and organise the events that YOU want to see from ACS for emerging IT professionals like yourself.
The ACS QLD Emerging Professionals Committee (EPC) was established in 2022 to be a leading voice for students, graduates and emerging professionals to provide feedback, ideas and create events tailored to best support the upcoming leaders and future of technology in Queensland. Over the three years the committee has continued to engage, grow, connect and represent the student and graduate cohort in Queensland, as well as support initiatives such as the Young Tech Ambassador program inspiring students to consider technology, chair sessions at the ACS QLD Tech Summit, be part of nationally run webinars and engage and support local university events by being part of panels and sharing their journeys.
The QLD EPC comes together on a monthly basis to brainstorm ideas, create events that they believe are of interest to their cohorts and create opportunities for young leaders to be featured at events chairing and featuring on panels so their voice is heard.
The QLD EPC has successful created and hosted 3 events in 2024 and been involved in a number of local, regional and national initiatives to represent students and graduates and help ACS better understand the needs of our members and how we can best support.
'Be part of a team to escalate the voice of young professionals of the industry and see it become reality. Be an ambassador to drive change and cultivate an environment where your fellow emerging professionals and students can thrive.' Zaya Bayarsaikhan, Chair, ACS QLD Emerging Professionals Committee.
