This year, Canberra’s membership remained strong, with over 1,600 members. We also welcomed several new organisational members, whose support through event sponsorships helped our community enhance capabilities in key subject areas and develop leadership skills. A big thank you to TBF Digital, Synergy Group Australia, Scyne Advisors Group Canberra and many more for their ongoing support in helping strengthen our tech community.

Throughout 2025 we engaged and supported more than 10 external tech communities and partners, including RMIT Centre of Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CCSRI) and hosted their International (Indonesia) delegates, AI Colab, Trellis Data R&D Meetups, Institute of Managers and Leaders (IML) ACT Chapter, CPA Australia, ISACA, Project Management Institute (PMI) Canberra, Stepping Stone Enterprise, Filipino Tech Community (FTCC) Canberra, Canberra Innovation Network Centre (CBRIN), Women in Tech (WIC), and more.

We delivered 30+ in-person and virtual events, welcoming over 2,600 attendees, and connected with hundreds of prospective tech professionals through participation in major industry events such as Tech in Gov, AWS Summit, Government Innovation Showcase, CREST and many more.

We celebrated numerous professional certifications and awards, recognising our members and volunteers for their hard work and their valuable contributions to ACS and the wider tech community.

A sincere thank you to ACS elected members, our Canberra Branch Executive Committee (BEC) members (names are not in specific order), Annie Ryan, Michael Hawkins, Rob Bollard, Ian Bull, Dr Roger Clarke, Eric Nguyen, Rob Slattery, Yaso Arumugam, Jim Boekel, Shaun Crain, Kevin Landale, David Elliot and Dr Tim Turner, the ACS leadership team, and our Canberra-based staff, Caroline Sha, Kathryn Stanfield, Isabel Pereira for their ongoing support. Together, we remain committed to fostering member growth and strengthening the Canberra Branch as a tech Community Hub – Bringing together divers groups with shared interests to grow a thriving tech community.

To our speakers, sponsors, mentors and stakeholders, thank you for helping make our work meaningful, impactful and rewarding.
